Our upcoming annual concert event, FRESH: New Musicals. Stripped., will feature the work of composer Nick Blaemire. Nick’s show Glory Days recently premiered to critical acclaim at the Signature Theatre in Washington, DC and will enjoy it’s Broadway opening this spring. The Philadelphia Music Theater Works is proud to include Nick’s music in our one night only event this June 13th, 2008, celebrating new work for the musical theater and would like to extend our congratulations and best wishes as his musical makes its mark on the Great White Way!

This June we present the first of our annual events, FRESH: New Musicals. Stripped., a celebration of new work for the musical theater featuring the songs of Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen, Nick Blaemire, David Ogrin, Andre Vermeulen & Randy Petersen, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Dan Martin & Michael Biello, and Brian Lowdermilk & Kait Kerrigan.

A staged reading of local Philly composer, Charles Gilbert’s musical revue WATCH THE BIRDIE, about the mixed blessings of contemporary family life, will feature an all-star cast of Philadelphia actors and will continue our celebration of new musicals.
